DuraClean is a system cleaner and heat transfer fluid in one. It’s engineered for preventative maintenance or lightly fouled system cleaning. You can continue to run production (up to 550°F) while it slowly cleans and it can be left in the system and handle long term operation for a complete oil cycle. Basically, you would completely drain your current fluid, fill with DuraClean, and run production for a typical oil cycle. With it being intended to run production, it should be used with caution in systems that are more heavily fouled or where the severity of the fouling is unknown, especially in systems with smaller lines and orifices – it could potentially break deposits loose, possibly causing blockages and disrupting production. If you’re unsure how badly fouled the system is, cleaning offline with ‘DuraClean Ultra’ should be considered.
